He got up before sunlight
He had a lot to do
It’s hard to be creative
When its only you
He must have had a vision
In his mind that he could see
It didn’t take him very long
To make a masterpiece
Now it’s hanging in the heavens
Shining in the light
A picture in the gallery
God painted overnight
We gaze on it with wonder
Amazed how it could be
The balance and the beauty
The endless harmony
He didn’t try to sell it
He could have got a lot
But no, he gave it all away
Now look how much we’ve got
The painter shows a passion, we’ve never seen before
The colors all so vivid, leave us just in awe
The timeless perfect balance of every single thing
Hanging here on heaven’s wall, hanging on a string
It’s hanging in the heavens
Shining in the light
A picture in the gallery
God painted overnight
