[FEMALE SINGER] We’re cooking in the kitchen just my man and I
he said he had a recipe he wanted me to try
so I came by for dinner but what he had in mind
was a different kind of “course”, a very different kind.

He threw me on the counter and kneaded me like dough
then covered me with flour and rolled me to and fro
he said we need a little spice, he put some there alright
and turned me into hot dish, the special for the night.

CHORUS:
Got a recipe for love I thought you might enjoy
start with a cup of sugar, a big spoon and a boy
add a little spice, blend but never beat
whip it just a little, then simmer on low heat
add a little baking soda, gotta’ make it rise
remember, you must pre-grease, it sticks otherwise
then add a little cream but never quite too soon
remember after cooking … to always lick the spoon.

Now Julia Childs would be impressed if she saw how we cooked
the way we do it can’t be found in any cooking book
love is so much better in the kitchen understand
I’m his hot dish special and he’s my pantry man

BRIDGE:
In the kitchen there’s no rules so try out all the tools, a whisker or a rolling pin
can leave your man with quite a grin
the spatula is fun if you use it on the buns but the beater’s even better
if your frosting starts to run
